Michael is a Board Member for the Association of Humane Dog Training.

Michael is a professional member (#5544) of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT), a professional organization of individual trainers who are committed to becoming better trainers through education.  The APDT offers individual pet dog trainers a respected and concerted vocie in the dog world.  APDT promotes professional trainers to the veterinary profession and to increase public awareness of dog friendly training techniques.
Michael is a member of the Animal Behavior Management Alliance.
Michael is a Certified Canine Good Citizen (CGC) & Puppy S.T.A.R. Evaluator for the American Kennel Club (AKC), #731.  Mixed breed and purebred dogs who pass the ten station evaluation are eligible to receive an impressive certificate from the AKC certifying your dog is a good citizen.  To learn more, see AKC's Description of the CGC evaluation.
Michael's dogs Simone and Willow are registered Therapy Dogs with Therapy Dog International, Inc. (TDIŽ).

TDI is a volunteer organization dedicated to regulating testing and registration of therapy dogs and their volunteer handlers for the purpose of visiting nursing homes, hospitals, other institutions and wherever else therapy dogs are needed.
