Where's Your Dog? ---- Contest Winners
DECEMBER 2010 WINNER - Maggie, a Belgain Malinois, owned by Barb Schilke. Maggie has progressed so well with her training that she has gone from attending Michael's Feisty Fido group class to being able to take walks through a pet store and get a picture with Santa without showing any reactivity.  Way to go Maggie and Barb!
NOVEMBER 2010 WINNER - David Levitsky and Rowin, an Austrailian Shepherd. Via private training sessions, Rowin went from being dog to dog reactive to being calmer and enjoying walks with other dogs.  Here is David and Rowin with a just newly met walking partner at Gallup Park, Ann Arbor.  Great job David and Rowin!

OCTOBER 2010 WINNER - Mike and Kalin Turri with their new born girl came out to walk with the MichiganDogTrainer meet up group.  Congrats to the group's youngest member, as she was only a couple of weeks old.
SEPTEMBER 2010 WINNER - Pippin a Border Terrier owned by Pat and Reginald Baker.  Pippin along with three new friends toured the estate of former President Grant's home in Galena, Illinois.
AUGUST 2010 WINNER - Bella a German Shepherd Dog owned by Heather Lacaria.  Here Bella visits one of her favorite laundry shops so she can practice obedience exercises in between washes.
JULY 2010 WINNER - Hailey & Milo owned by Jen Rutkiewicz at Kruse Park dog beach in Muskegon.
JUNE 2010 WINNER - Rocko a Bernese Mountain Dog owned by Lisa Langone.  Rocko proudly demonstrates his ability to do a "place" and "sit stay" command on top of a tree trunk.
Rocko - June 2010 Winner
MAY 2010 WINNER - Echo a sable German Shepherd Dog (GSD) owned by Terri Goldstrom.  Here Echo is checking out an Army Huey Helicopter during a Veteran's Day celebration.

Echo GSD - May 2010 Winner
APRIL 2010 WINNER - Zoey, a lab mix and her human companion Kelly Brianna Rayes Velez.  Pictured here is Zoey performing a "place" and "stay" for Kelly at the Jackson Humane Society dog park run.  Kelly has learned that a "place" command can not only be helpful for sending a dog to a dog bed or other location when guests come to the front door but it can also be used to practice "stay" and to stage great photo ops in outdoor locations.  Great job Kelly and Zoey!

Have you submitted your dog's photo yet?  If not, hurry don't delay.  Email it to Michael prior to the end of the month (Note, December winner will be selected by December 15th).  The dog in the most creative outdoor photo will win bragging rights for the month.  The purpose of the contest is to encourage dog owners to get their pooches out to creative new environments and utilize their obedience skills amongst distractions.  See Contest Rules
