Board & Train

Let's face it.  Training a puppy or a dog takes a lot of time and patience.  Busy families and professionals don't always have the time, patience or the experience to train their own dog.  Plus, you want your dog trained the right way, the first time.

Here's the solution!  Have Michael train your dog for you via his Board & Train program.  Your dog will spend his/her days and nights in the comfort of Michael's home for round the clock training.  2 and 4 week programs are available based upon the desired training goals.

Your Dog Can Learn:

*   Good household manners

*   Basic Obedience (sit, down, come, walk on a loose leash, to wait at doorways politely, etc.)

*   Advanced Obedience (heel by your side, come and stay amongst heavy distractions)

*   Behavioral Modification for dogs who show fearful tendencies toward people/places/other dogs.

Your will receive:

1.  Pick up and drop off of your dog (provided you live within 45 minutes of Michael)

2.  Email and picture updates on your dog's progress

3.  Follow up private training sessions after the board and train program is completed

4.  Free email support regarding accomplished training goals

All Puppies and Dogs Must:

Have a current health certificate from their veterinarian, be free of parasites and disease and be house broken.

Board and Train
Chauncey came for board and training with Michael to learn to be calmer, walk on a loose leash, and not to mouth hands.
Rocko, a 8 month old Bernese Mountain Dog came to Michael's home for Board and Training because his owners couldn't walk him due to him wanting to run and consequently dragging them, he liked to jump up on his owner who is wheel chair bound, and he frequently mouthed their hands when they tried to pet him.  He learned to walk on a loose leash, to lay down for seated persons instead of jumping on them, not to mouth hands and more.  He even proofed his new skills amongst crowds for several hours by attending the Plymouth Ice Sculpture Festival.

Rocky, a 17 week old German Shepherd puppy gained confidence via Michael's socialization program and learned many available skills such as sit, down, come, go to place, stay, and walk on a loose leash in just two short weeks.  Having a professional trainer work with your dog while they are young can give them that added confidence and skills that will last a life time.
Annie, a Belgian Tervuren is a very sweet dog who loved to chase animals (squirrels, chipmunks, other dogs, deer, etc.) which made it next to impossible for her owners' to walk her.

In two weeks, Annie learned to walk on a loose leash, to come when called, not to chase animals, to greet people calmly and with more confidence, and to ride calmly in a car.  This will enable her owners to take her to fun and exciting new places to explore.  Annie, you rock!

Reese, a Boxer/Pitt mix is a very fun loving and non stop energy 8 month old puppy.  She was impossible to walk on a leash even without distractions and she became reactive upon seeing other dogs.

However, she quickly learned to self impose a state of calmness and new obedience skills which enables her to travel with family and friends.  She has already been to Wisconsin and Upper Michigan to explore nature trails, ponds and beaches.  Way to go Reese!
